Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What happens at a Hellfire Club play party?

A: Play parties are places you can go to socialize with other kinksters, or have some fun in the “Dungeon”, also known as a play area, if you desire. There are refreshments available, at no extra cost to you (but donations are welcomed). You’ll see people engaging in consensual acts that they enjoy such as spanking, caning, flogging, fire play, electrical play, massage, needle play, and much more! We have a strict set of rules that all scenes must adhere to, for the safety of our guests.

Q: Okay, what do I have to do in order to attend?

A: We prefer to have met everyone who attends Hellfire Club, so we suggest that you start by attending a local munch first. There are four in the Niagara Region alone, and you can find more information about them on FetLife in the Niagara Kinksters group here.  When you attend a munch, ask the host about Hellfire Club. They can likely direct you towards one of our staff or ‘ticket masters’ (its often the host themselves).  Once you’ve met a ticket master, you can make a payment in cash, or arrange to pay online. You must register by emailing registerforparty@gmail.com. We need you to do this so that we can send you a confirmation email with the event details, the rules, and other useful info.

Q: What kind of clothing should I wear to the play party?

A: We prefer that you wear some kind of fetish attire to our parties, as it helps both you, and our other guests revel in a uniquely kinky ambiance. Some examples of fetish wear include: leather, lingerie, latex, school girl uniform, sexy librarian, medical wear, maid outfit, etc. If you don’t have any of those things, please make some sort of effort to dress up a bit. We usually have an optional theme for each party, and you might want to dress for that! Dress clothes are acceptable, even if you plan on taking them off throughout the night! Most people who don’t own any fetish wear or lingerie decide to wear all black clothing…that’s always a safe bet to do!  You can be completely nude if you so desire, but we request that you arrive covered up so that passersby don’t pay us too much attention! Our guests value their privacy, and you can help make sure no one knows what happens within our doors!

Q: Is sex allowed at the play party?

A: Sex is not allowed at a Hellfire Club play party, and engaging in sex will result in being ejected from the party. Our contract with the venue specifies that sex is not allowed on the premises (except within the privacy of a hotel room), and if you break this rule you’ll earn the ire of the guests who want to continue using our venue. You can view the full list of rules here.

Q: Why do I have to give my legal name?

A: When you arrive at the venue, you will be asked to sign a standard waiver stating that you intend to follow the rules and not engage in illegal activities, as well as taking personal responsibility for your own actions, freeing the organizer and venue from any liability. These waivers are standard with all major BDSM/fetish parties in Ontario. Your full legal name is required on this form. Waivers remain confidential and are locked in an off premises safe under the sole control of the event organizer, until one year after signing. When we pull the waivers from our files, they will shredded by the organizer using a cross cut confetti shredder and burned.

Q: Is alcohol sold at the play party?

A: Unless otherwise specified in an event listing, alcohol will not be available at our events. We have nothing against alcohol, but our venue requests that we not mix our possibly high-risk activities with the drinking of alcohol.

Q: What is included in my $20 admission fee?

A: When you pay your admission fee you are free to use the dungeon equipment (use the whiteboard to sign up to use a piece), or hang out with friends (or meet NEW friends!) in our social area. We also provide a number of snacks and beverages to make sure you have enough energy to play, or to help you recover from those intense scenes we know you’ll be doing! Please note that the food is not intended to be a meal, and is greatly needed by those who play and need to get their energy levels back up! We want you to enjoy it, but please be respectful of the other attendees.

Q: Where is the party located?

A: The Hellfire Club is currently located on the outskirts of Welland, Ontario only minutes from Niagara Falls, Thorold, and St. Catharines. We do not reveal the exact location of our venue, except to paying guests so that we can ensure a higher level of privacy for our attendees. We ask that if you have attended the party, please keep this information confidential out of respect for others.

Q: How many people attend the party?

A: We cap our events much lower than what the official capacity is so that it doesn’t feel overcrowded. We want it to be easy to move around, and easy to play without having to worry about interfering with other scenes.  We can safely accommodate 100-120 without any issues.

Q: Do I need to be part of a couple in order to attend?

A: No, we encourage single people of all genders and orientations to attend. Just because you’re single, doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun! We offer a white board where you can post your name, specify whether a top or bottom, and the type of scene you’d like to have. Using this technique, many of our guests leave happier than they anticipated! A ‘couples only’ policy is very common at swingers clubs, which Hellfire Club is not.

Q: Do I need to play in order to attend?

A: Absolutely not, but if you feel comfortable doing so, then we encourage that! We recommend that first timers only involve themselves to their comfort level. There is no commitment to play with anyone, but we do have ways to make arranging a scene easier for you if you decide that you’d like to. You can put your name on our ‘Pick-up Play’ whiteboard, ask the host if they know of anyone that might be interested, or arrange a scene in our group on FetLife.

Q: Why does it cost so much to attend?

A: The majority of BDSM/fetish parties in Ontario cost $20 to attend, and many cost significantly more. The parties that charge $20 have done so for more than 10 years, despite the costs of running an event escalating exponentially. The time may eventually come where we’ll have no choice but to raise our admission, but for now we’re able to offer you a fantastic party with great equipment, music, ambiance, and snacks/drink for only $20/person. I can’t think of anywhere else can you go for 5 hours on a Saturday night to have fun without spending much much more than that!

Q: Is there a hotel nearby?

A: Our party is located in the ballroom of a hotel, and we usually block a certain number of rooms under the group code “HFC group”. A discount is available to our guests, and we occasionally offer special promotions, or hold room raffles.

Q: What restaurants are nearby?

A: Some of the local restaurants that we recommend include MT Bellies, Red Rice Buffet, Ye Olde Squire, Swiss Chalet, Pizza Hut, Boston Pizza, Harvey’s, Tim Horton’s, and Burger King.
